For peace of mind that your car is protected while you’re away, the doors use an e-latch system that only presents its illuminated button when you approach and locks itself when you leave. However, the appeal of the Ford Mustang Mach-E extends beyond the car itself. The Mustang Mach-E qualifies for the maximum $7,500 Federal Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Tax Credit. Additionally, according to Ford, you could potentially save around $900 per year in fuel costs.

The Mach-E Vs. Tesla Model Y

If you’ve ever thought that Tesla had the only top of the line electric vehicles on the market, think again. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is bringing new competition to Tesla, as it’s Model Y has very close specs in comparison. Both models are priced similarly, with the base model starting close to $40,000 for each. They also have similar ranges of about 230 miles. The Model Y wins slightly in cargo space, but one big advantage of the Mustang Mach-E is that Ford has an established dealer and service network; something that Tesla currently lacks.
